About Us

Gert grew up in Potchefstroom
He did a gap year or two (or three) in the UK and worked as a barman, security guard and au pair
Studied fitness and personal training
Became a personal trainer on his return to Johannesburg
Met the love of his life and got married
Is a proud Doggie Dad to Ellie & Rosie May and Penny the cat
Became a swimming instructor
Opened a swimming school, or two, (or three), which he sold after a few years
Started as an intern estate agent 6 years ago
Got mentored by the most incredible master of estate agents, and one of the kindest and wisest human beings on the planet (thank you James G!)
Studied and achieved the following qualification amongst others:
National FET Certificate in Real Estate (NQF 4)
FULL STATUS AGENT
(PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONER IN REAL ESTATE)
Busy studying and will qualify soon with his NQF 5
Earned his stripes selling property in Johannesburg, predominantly in the Bryanston area
Followed his heart and bought a very special spot by the beach on the KZN South Coast
Decided to be brave, daring and unorthodox, and start his own little authentically original and artistic real estate agency and experience in Uvongo on the Hibiscus Coast – of which he is extremely passionate and ultra proud of.
And is still happily married and creating a crazy new life with lots of great spirit and energy down on the KZN South Coast, doing property properly, and running his new estate agency called Real & Proper T
